MiPlan takes No 1 spot in Asset Manager Rankings #
Following on MiPlan’s Manager of the year award at the recent Raging Bull awards, we have, as of the end of March 2019, secured the position of the Top fund management house in South Africa as rated by industry’s benchmark Plexcrown rankings.
Management companies are ranked according to their underlying qualifying funds performance. The ranking, which highlights consistent, risk adjusted and long-term outperformance across all the qualifying funds in a particular company, is well regarded and recognized – and culminates in the annual Raging Bull awards.
MiPlan has eight qualifying funds in its “best in class” manager range. Two of them, the MiPlan IP Global Macro Fund and the MiPlan IP Inflation Plus 7 Fund both run by Tony Bell, achieved the highest possible score of 5 Plexcrowns. This places these two funds in the top 10% in the industry, on a risk adjusted basis.
Five other funds, including the MiPlan IP Enhanced Income Fund run by Rowan Williams – Short scored 4 Plexcrowns, while one other MiPlan fund achieved 3 Plexcrowns.
The PlexCrown Ratings are done in line with guidelines set by ASISA, the industry body and other criteria set by PlexCrown.
